Continental Salad Toast
Continental salad toast is a breakfast dish. Mix veg salad prepared in continental style is placed in between 2 toasted bread slices.
Serves: 3 to 4
Ingredients:
- Tomato – 1 medium
- Cucumber – 1 medium
- Onion – 1medium
- Capsicum – 1 small
- Lettuce/ Cabbage (shredded) – 2 – 3tbsp
- Pickled gherkins/ cucumbers – 4 slices
- Thousand Island Dressing – 1.5 tbsp
- Honey Mustard Sauce – 1.5 tbsp
- Vinaigrette – 1 tsp
- Salt – a pinch
- Bread slices – 8
- Butter – as per your requirement
Procedure:
- Chop all the vegetables and put them in a mixing bowl.
- Add all the dressings and salt, mix well.
- Butter the slices and toast them.
- Place 4 slices on a plate and spread the salad.
- Place remaining slices on top.
- Cut them diagonally and serve.
- You may use olives/ jalapeno or any vegetables of your choice.
- You may use dressings of your choice.
