Mushroom Onion Bhaji

Mushroom onion bhaji is a medium spicy and slightly tangy dish. It is a simple and an easy to make dish not belonging to any particular cuisine.
Serves: 2 to 3
Ingredients:
- Mushrooms (quartered) – 200 gm
- Onion (sliced) – 3 medium
- Tomato (chopped) – 1 large
- Green chillies – 1 to 2
- Corriander leaves – handful
- Ginger – 1/4″ piece
- Garlic – 6 cloves
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Pav bhaji masala / garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Coconut milk powder / coconut milk – 1 tbsp (optional)
- Oil – 1 to 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Procedure:
- Heat oil in a pan and add onion, stir fry till golden brown.
- Add turmeric powder and pav bhaji masala / garam masala, stir fry for a few seconds.
- Add tomato and salt, stir fry till tomato turns mushy.
- Grind green chilly, ginger, garlic and corriander leaves with little water to a fine paste.
- Add the ground paste and stir.
- Add mushrooms, little more salt and mix well.
- Cook for 2 min and add water as per your requirement, simmer for 3-4 min.
- Add coconut milk powder combined with a tbsp of water and stir well.
- Serve with bread /chapati for breakfast or dinner.
