Dali Thoy with Tomato
Ingredients:
- Toor dal – 1/4 cup
- Tamato (chopped) – 1medium size
- Green chillies (slit) – 2 to 3
- Turmeric powder – 1/8 tsp
- Ginger (grated) – 1/4 tsp (optional)
- Asofoetida (hing) – 1/3 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Corriander leaves (chopped) – 1 tsp
For the tempering:
- Coconut oil/ Ghee – 1.5 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves – 7-8
Procedure:
- Boil/ pressure cook toor dal.
- Add all the ingredients numbering 2 to 7 and water as per your requirement.
- Simmer fo 3 – 4 min.
- Add corriander leaves.
- Give it a tempering with mustard seeds and curry leaves in coconut oil.
- Serve hot with rice.
