Veg Yellow Pulav

Ingredients:
- Rice – 1 cup
- Onion (julienned)- 1 medium
- Carrots (julienned)- 1/2 cup
- French beans (shredded) – 1/2 cup
- Capsicum (chopped) – 1.5 tbsp
- Shelled peas – 1/4 cup
- Chilly garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Cloves – 5
- Cinnamon – 1″ 2 pieces
- Bayleaf – 1
- Cardamom – 2
- Peppercorns – 5
- Turmeric powder – 1/8 tsp
- Oil – 1.5 to 2 tbsp
- Water – 2 1/4 cups
- Salt to taste
Procedure:
- Wash and drain rice, keep it aside for 15 min.
- Heat oil in a wok and add spices.
- Now add onion and fry till golden brown.
- Add rice and peas, stir fry for 5 – 7 min.
- Now add vegetables, stir fry for 2 to 3 min.
- Add turmeric powder and chilly garlic paste.
- Add boiled water and salt to taste.
- Close the lid and cook. Put the gas off after sometime. It will be cooked with steam and ready in 15 min. If still water remains, put the gas on for a min.
- Serve hot.
